A holiday classic returns to the stage of the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.
The Kirov Ballet, one of the world's most renowned ballet companies, performs the beloved family holiday classic The Nutcracker, accompanied by the Kirov Orchestra. This fairy tale ballet, choreographed in 1934 by Vasily Vainonen, has dazzled audiences around the world and is a perfect way to celebrate the festive holiday season.
Filled with wonderment and child-like delight, Kirov's The Nutcracker features many of ballet's most exciting dancers including Irina Golub, Vladimir Schklyarov, Evgenia Obraztsova, and Igor Kolb. Learn more about The Nutcracker story and Kirov history, join dance historian and writer Elizabeth Kaye for family-friendly pre-show talks beginning one hour prior to each performance in the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.

From 12 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. kids of all ages can decorate their own cookie on the Music Center Plaza. Cost is $10 each and includes cookie, hot chocolate or apple cider. First come, first served.
